Roger, Joyce and Ian have been serving the hospitality industry for over 25 years, and are now transporting those skills to Lakeside residential home.
They pride themselves on their registered manager Louise Waldron, who is personally responsible for the care provided to each individual. Lakeside believes we have the finest staff working with us.
Louise has nearly 20 years’ experience in the care industry, she brings a huge wealth of knowledge to the position and her enthusiasm and standards of care are nothing short of exceptional.
Roger Langbridge - Proprietor
Roger has worked in management for 30 years, successfully running his own hospitality business for 25 years, Roger has gained a wealth of knowledge in this area completing a business management course in Exeter University, since changing Lakeside into a residential care home Roger has completed his NVQ 3 and continues to advance his knowledge in care using the homes training programme.
Joyce Langbridge - Proprietor
Joyce has almost 20 years managerial experience, successfully assisting Roger to run their own hospitality business, taking charge of the accounts department. Joyce has gained a vast knowledge and experience in this time and is continuing to advance her knowledge and experience in catering and management.
Ian Langbridge - Proprietor and General Manger
Ian has almost 20 years’ experience in management helping Roger and Joyce successfully run a hospitality business, Ian has gained a range of experience and knowledge in management, and since opening Lakeside he has completed his NVQ 3 and 4 and is currently working towards his level 5 diploma, Ian wishes to keep on advancing his knowledge in care using the homes training programme.
Louise Waldron - Registered manager
Louise has been working the care field since 1996; she has a wealth of knowledge and experience, including NVQ 3, 4 and R.M.A (Registered Managers Award). Louise has 14 years of managerial experience and has worked in many areas of care including Supportive living, residential care, community care and nursing care. Louise strives to improve care standards and is continuing to update and improve herself through training and experience to be able to deliver the highest standard of care.
Deena Lane – Training and Admin Co-ordinator
Deena has worked has worked health and social care since 1993; she has a wealth of knowledge and experience, including NVQ 3, D32, 33, 7407 Level 4, IQA and R.M.A (Registered Managers Award) Dementia champion. Deena has over 15 years of managerial experience within the health and social training field and has worked in different areas of care including Supportive living, residential care, and community care.
Our senior care team are selected on their experience and knowledge and are giving extensive training to ensure they are able to support Louise in running the home to a high standard and guiding staff to provide the best care.
Here at lakeside we pride ourselves on recruiting passionate, dedicated staff and strive to help them achieve their potential by providing high quality training. We understand the best care is achieved by a continuous commitment to training for all staff and we offer a wide variety of progressive training. Additionally lakeside integrates all avenues of training from statutory training such as Manual Handling to more specialised courses like Palliative Care. We encourage all our staff to develop and progress within the care field and welcome there suggestions on what they feel there training needs are.
